What will happen if you dye black hair with blonde dye?

-I want to know what will happen if you dye black/dark brown hair with blonde dye? Please Help!Most likely nothing. The blonde dye won't take because your hair is too dark. It might end up just making your hair lighter, it won't make it blonde. To get it blonde you would have to bleach your hair first.If it says on the side it can turn brown hair blonde it will be able to turn black/dark brown hair light brown. You can use a blonde hair dye such as Revlon Colorsilk Light Ash Blonde or L'oreal Recital Preference Lightest Ash Blonde.

Nothing will happen. Only bleach (done by a professional) will lighten black hair. If you try to do it yourself it will turn orange.
Nothing will happen unless you strip your hair first. Although the dye will probably frick up your hair!
