Is it ok to bite off my split ends?

-Sometimes when I get bored, I go through my hair and bite off all the split ends I find. Could this lead to even more future split ends? I know it's weird. You don't have to tell me. (: It's just sort of a habit..I have done it a time or two. I can't imagine it is healthy for your hair. I started carrying a pair of manicure scissors so I could snip mine off.There is a name for what you have I was watching a 1000 ways 2 die and this girl would eat here hair and since hair doesn't break down the doctors found a huge ball of hair in the walls of her stomach. So don't do it because its just going to sit there in your stomach for all of eternity because hair like many things CAN'T be broken down. And as for if it would lead to futur split ends no it all has to do with how well your conditioning your hair.
Your hair will keep getting shorter where your biting them and it will carry on making split ends. Soon enough you will end up with no hair. I know a girl in my class that use to do it but it was so gross, she always had greasy hair, was vile! But it's not good for your hair. It's just making your split ends worse and worse!
No, not really. That can lead to a condition. You dont swallow them do you? I actually read a story of a young lady you had a habit of picking out and eating her hair. She went to the Dr. and has a "mass" in her stomach. The mass? A hairball...no joke. Plus you will cause more hair damage
Yes, what it does is your breaking of the split end causing your strand of hair to split even more. And the more split the ends are, the more you have to cut off.
Split ends is a sign that your hair needs attention. Maybe, good and consistent conditioning and treatment is what the hair needs. Do a search to find the best products for this. There is a wide choice.
Lol i used to do that too, but it ended up making my hair more prone to split ends, so i just grudginglty resorted to a trim every 3 months. Im trying to grow out my hair :)
Dead ends and hair in general should only be cut with scissors made for cutting hair. Not to mention that is so gross.
