-after dying my hair dark for 3months i've decided i wanted to go back blonde. i've used xxl blonde hair dye twice now and it just went orange and then slightly paler orange. if i use ash blonde hair dye will it get rid of the orange? and if not what can i do apart from going darker again?
and if the ash blonde hair dye does work, can i dye it brighter blonde after that to get a lighter blonde look?
thankyou :)I've done this before. I had black hair and dyed it to an almost white. However, it is damaging.
I used Jerrone Russel Hair Bleach 40 about 3 times. I then also used Directions White Toner ( this gets rid of all the yellow brassy tones). The Directions is also a conditioning dye. You can get lightening and tone correcting shampoo and conditioner. I used John Frieda Tone Correcter. This does the same as the Directions White Toner.
A trick that I use to help maximise the power of the bleach is to wrap your hair with cling film while you have the bleach on. (Careful, it does heat up!!)
Be careful not to bleach your hair extensively as it can result in your hair snapping at the roots. Make sure to use conditioning products to help repair the damage. A trick that I use to minimise the damage is to add about a 2p size blob of shampoo to the bleach (DO NOT add conditioner as this does not mix with the bleach and will make the result patchy).
Also, I would recommend that you make sure you entirely understand what you are doing with the hair bleach. You do not need to be a professional or ask a professional to do it, just make sure you know what to do.
I agree with the first girl answering you, you need to see somebody professional rather than yourself cause you can make it worse . Dying hair more and more creates hair to fall out. Once you die hair blonde by a stylist try products to keep the color nice by John frieda . He has a whole line of products for all colors of hair including blondes. And for awhile you might wanna give your hair a break to repair and restore its health cause dying makes it weak ,and damadged especially if your somebody using straitners and curlers or blowdryers .
instead of trying to dye it blonde try, using colour B4, it gets rid of the colouring so your hair will be its natural colour.
i used it to take dark red out of my hair and it took most of it out it was easy to then dye it light.
It is best to go to a salon.
Dark hair is really hard to lift and that is why your hair turned orange instead of blonde. The darker your hair the harder it is to dye it to a lighter color and vice versa.
Either the bleach you used wasn't strong enough or you didn't leave it on long enough.
Too late now you have to wait & let your hair heal a bit.
An ash dye will probably turn it a weird blue/green tint.
I think it may be time to go to a stylist. If you keep layering chemicals on top of chemicals, your hair may fall out.
