Does chlorine affect your hair when you dye it AFTER?

-so, i'm pretty dumb. i decided to go swimming today and forgot and i have a hair appointment to dye it in about an hour i don't have time to wash it. will this affect the coloring if i have chlorine on my hair when it get dyed?
