Difference between a hair straightener and hair relaxer?

-What is the difference and please give me pictures, details etc and what exactly each one does to ones hair.Hair relaxer chemically alters your hair: it loosens the curl. Depending on your hair texture and thickness it will make it shinier softer and "straight". If you have curly hair you will probably have to straighten it anyways to achieve the pin straight look but it will be easier.

You should also find out what hair relaxer would suit your hair type. African hair relaxers are way to strong for caucasian hair. You should definitly seed for professional advice even if you choose to do this at home.

Also be aware of the damage this treatment will cause to your hair!

You can also try this "Homemade Hair Relaxer for caucasian curls":

I've done it a few times, it's not as powerful as a chemical, but it's healthier. I have medium thick hair with waves and curls and i can tell my curls loosen a bit and are way less frizzy. Be careful if you have oily hair (don't apply it to the roots).

Hope it helped!
A hair relaxer chemically straightens and smooths your hair while a hair straightener uses heat to straighten the hair.
